Terms of service

1. About these terms

Travel Art helps you turn photographs into stylised travel artwork, personalise it with lettering and prepare designs for print. These terms apply to the Travel Art website, app and artwork-generation service. Please read them before creating an account or using the service.

Operator: Simon Hopkin, trading as Travel Art
Contact: support@travelart.app

You can also use our contact form. Travel Art operates the app and artwork service. For physical prints, the seller depends on the store used for your purchase: Teemill Tech Ltd for Teemill purchases, or Simon Hopkin trading as Travel Art for purchases through our Shopify store, fulfilled by Gelato. Section 6 explains each arrangement.

The initial service is offered in the United Kingdom: England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. It is not currently offered in the Republic of Ireland or elsewhere in the European Union.

2. Your account and acceptable use

Provide accurate account information, keep your sign-in details secure and contact us if you believe someone else has accessed your account. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless it results from our failure to protect the service.

Do not use Travel Art for unlawful activity; to infringe another person’s rights; to harass, threaten or exploit anyone; to create or distribute unlawful content; to bypass service limits or security; or to interfere with the service or other users.

We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users or the service, investigate suspected misuse, comply with law, or respond to a material breach of these terms. Where reasonably possible, we will explain the reason and give you an opportunity to contact us. You may challenge a restriction through support@travelart.app. Restricting access to the app does not cancel or alter an existing print order or affect your rights relating to that purchase.

3. Your photographs and content

Upload only photographs and other content that you own or have permission to use. You are responsible for obtaining permissions needed for people, artwork, brands or other protected material shown in your content.

You retain your existing rights in content you upload. You give Travel Art and the providers involved in delivering the service permission to process, store, transform and reproduce that content only as reasonably necessary to generate artwork, save designs, provide previews, prepare a print product you request, operate and secure the service, and meet legal obligations. This permission ends when the relevant content is deleted, except where continued processing is reasonably necessary for an active request, an existing store product or print order, security, backups or legal obligations, as explained in our Privacy Policy.

We will not use your photographs or artwork in public marketing without separate permission.

4. Generated artwork and personalisation

Travel Art transforms your photograph into artwork in your selected style. The process may reinterpret, omit or alter details, and results can vary between generations. Style examples show a visual direction and do not promise an identical result.

Review your chosen artwork and check all spelling, lettering, cropping, layout, size and frame choices before continuing to print checkout. Screen colours and illustrative room views may differ from a physical product. This does not affect your legal rights if a product is faulty or does not match its description.

You may use the artwork for your personal, lawful purposes and order the available print products. We do not promise that generated artwork is unique, that copyright or other exclusive rights arise in every output, or that an output is suitable for commercial use. Travel Art does not transfer rights in material owned by somebody else.

5. Availability and generation allowances

Travel Art does not charge a subscription or fee for artwork generation at launch. Each account normally receives five generation attempts per day, with the remaining allowance and reset time shown in the app. Only an explicit generation request uses an attempt; editing lettering or preparing a preview does not.

A confirmed generation failure is normally released back to your allowance. An attempt may remain temporarily reserved while the outcome of a provider request is uncertain. Contact us if an attempt remains unavailable after the displayed daily reset.

We may change future allowances or available features for genuine operational, security, cost or service reasons. A material reduction will be communicated reasonably in advance where practical. Changes do not create a charge or affect a print order already placed. Maintenance, demand or technical problems may temporarily interrupt the service.

6. Print Orders

When you choose Prepare for Purchase, Travel Art prepares your approved design as a product in the store. View in Store opens its product page so you can review it and decide whether to buy. Preparing or viewing a product does not place an order, take payment or mean that an order has been accepted.

6.1 Teemill

For Teemill products, Travel Art opens a product page on the Travel Art-branded Teemill store. Teemill Tech Ltd is the seller and contractual supplier of physical print products purchased through its checkout. Teemill operates the checkout, takes payment, accepts or rejects the order, manufactures and dispatches the product, provides delivery and tracking information, and handles order support, cancellations, returns, replacements and refunds. Its Terms of Sale apply to the print purchase.

Before paying, review the product, artwork, size, frame, price, taxes, delivery charges, delivery address, estimated delivery information and Teemill’s terms. Prices in the app are in pounds sterling and should match the product price sent to Teemill, but the final total—including delivery—is displayed by Teemill before purchase. Product and delivery availability may depend on your address.

Teemill sends the order confirmation. An order is accepted at the point stated in Teemill’s Terms of Sale or confirmation, not when Travel Art prepares or opens the product page. Travel Art does not receive or store your complete payment-card details.

6.2 Gelato (via our Shopify store)

For Gelato products, Travel Art opens a product page in our Shopify store. Simon Hopkin, trading as Travel Art, is the seller and contractual supplier of physical print products purchased through this store. Shopify provides the storefront and checkout, and Gelato prints and fulfils orders on our behalf. Travel Art handles order support, cancellations, returns, replacements and refunds. Contact support@travelart.app with your order reference.

Before paying, review the product, artwork, size, frame, price, taxes, delivery charges, delivery address, estimated delivery information and the purchase terms displayed in our store. Prices shown in the app are in pounds sterling and are a guide to the product price. The store displays the selling price, and the final total—including any applicable taxes and delivery charges—is shown at checkout before purchase. Product and delivery availability may depend on your address.

You place your order through our Shopify checkout, and our store sends your order confirmation. Order acceptance is governed by the purchase terms displayed in our store; preparing or opening the product page in the app is not acceptance of an order. Travel Art does not receive or store your complete payment-card details.

7. Cancellations, returns and order problems

Because each print contains artwork prepared to your specification, the ordinary change-of-mind cancellation right may not apply to a personalised or custom-made product. Review the cancellation and return terms in the relevant store before paying.

This does not remove your legal rights where goods are faulty, damaged, misdescribed, not fit for purpose or otherwise do not conform to the contract. The seller identified in section 6 is responsible for the applicable repair, replacement, refund or other remedy.

Teemill purchases: Use the Teemill support details in your checkout or order confirmation for payment, delivery, tracking, cancellation, return, damaged-product or refund enquiries.

Gelato purchases through our Shopify store: Contact Travel Art at support@travelart.app for these enquiries. Please contact us before returning a print so we can provide the appropriate return instructions. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Include your order reference. For problems preparing artwork or opening the store from the app, contact support@travelart.app. Do not send your password or complete payment-card details.

8. Privacy

The app processes account details, uploaded photographs, generated artwork and information needed to provide its features. The marketing website currently has no sign-in, upload form or advertising analytics; its hosting provider may process request information to deliver and secure the site. Read the Privacy Policy for details about the controller, purposes, legal bases, providers, international transfers, retention periods, deletion procedures and privacy contact. For purchases through Teemill, Teemill handles checkout and order information under its own privacy notice. For purchases through our Shopify store, Travel Art processes information needed to manage your purchase, using Shopify for the storefront and checkout and Gelato for printing and fulfilment. Our Privacy Policy explains the information shared with these providers and their roles.

When you choose Prepare for Purchase, your finished artwork is used to create a publicly accessible product listing in the relevant store. The listing can be viewed before you make a purchase and is separate from your private saved project in the app.

9. Our responsibility and your consumer rights

We provide the Travel Art app and artwork service with reasonable care and skill. We are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable or results from circumstances outside our reasonable control where we have taken reasonable steps to reduce the effect.

Travel Art is provided for personal use. If you use it for a business purpose, we are not responsible for business losses such as lost profit, revenue, opportunity or business interruption, except where the law does not allow that responsibility to be excluded.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits responsibility for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other responsibility that cannot legally be excluded. Nothing in these terms restricts your statutory rights, including rights relating to services or digital content that are not provided with reasonable care and skill or do not conform to their contract.

10. Ending use and changes to these terms

You can stop using Travel Art and request account deletion at any time. Deleting your account does not cancel print orders or automatically remove products already created in a store. Information and artwork already shared for those products or orders may remain with Travel Art, the store and print partners as explained in our Privacy Policy. Contact support@travelart.app for help with a product-removal or privacy request.

We may update these terms for changes to the service, law, security requirements or our providers. We will display the updated effective date and give reasonable notice of a material change where required. A change will not retrospectively alter an existing print purchase or remove rights that have already arisen.

We may discontinue all or part of the free service. Where reasonably practical, we will provide advance notice and an opportunity to retrieve or delete saved work. Discontinuing the app or artwork service does not affect an existing print order or your rights relating to that purchase.

11. Complaints, governing law and courts

Contact support@travelart.app or use our contact form to raise a complaint about Travel Art, including a print purchased through our Shopify store. For a Teemill purchase, use Teemill’s support details in your order confirmation. We will try to resolve complaints about Travel Art directly; these terms do not require you to use a particular alternative dispute-resolution process before going to court.

These terms are governed by the law of the part of the United Kingdom in which you live. If you live in England or Wales, the law of England and Wales applies; if you live in Scotland, Scots law applies; and if you live in Northern Ireland, the law of Northern Ireland applies. You may bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom where you live. If you use the service from another country despite it not being offered there, mandatory protections and jurisdiction rules that apply to you are not excluded.

12. App stores

Apple’s App Store and Google Play have their own terms governing their stores and your device account. Those store providers are not responsible for operating the Travel Art artwork service or supplying physical print products. The seller and purchase terms for physical prints are explained in section 6.
